    Bimac tank build

Started dismantling and cleaning the Redsea 525xl today to prepare for the complete seam reseal. Old silicone is not easy to get off, but clean new razor blades, Acetone, and a melamine sponge with vinegar water and a lot of elbow grease is getting the job done.

    Bimac tank build

Stand is finished, I'm getting the back panel attached tomorrow and then I can move the stand into it's home in the house. I also got the 40b sump finished, went smoother than anticipated with cutting of the glass so that was a bonus. I was also able to get my cut edges on the granite top...

    Bimac tank build

I'm using it because I found it on marketplace for $20. I have a high density yoga mat that I'm going to use as a pad between the tank bottom and the granite, but nice thing is, I know the granite surface is nice and flat.

    Bimac tank build

It's not cheap, I am using it because I was able to get it for $40 from work. It's probably close to $1000 worth.

    February MASC Meeting - Chili Cook-Off @ Underwater Wonders - Feb. 1st @3:30pm

I'll be there, it will be nice having one of these on the north side. I hate driving to Denver! I just won my work chili cook off so I'm in for bringing my Texas chili as well.

No just one, I will have a top on the tank that I can strap down. Still trying to decide what I want to do for a top.

    Bimac tank build

I had some requests to follow along with this build, so I'll do my best to update this build thread. I got into this hobby about 15 years ago, and one thing I have always wanted was to have a octopus tank, I think I have gathered enough experience over the years to make this happen. I'm looking...

    Free clownfish.

I have it in a separate tank right now, I have a new home for it this weekend. Thanks though.

    Free clownfish.

Lol, when they decide they don't like something they definitely let them know it. I'm pretty sure they were trying to ram this one straight out of the tank. Constant splashing at the surface and water flying everywhere.

    Free clownfish.

    Free clownfish.

It's one of the bigger ones, so I was thinking that maybe it started changing or another one did and asserted dominance. Either way, it was getting the crap beat out of it relentlessly, so I had to move it and it's time for a new home where it can live in peace. I believe I have 2 females for...
