Hey all....

Looking to see if anyone has a 150-200W LED light I could borrow (or?) for a while.

Last night as I was sitting on the couch, one of the cables suspending the 200W evo over my wife's tank came apart and into the tank went the light. I thought it was the fourth of July. Anyway, I don't know if or when I can get it fixed or replaced and after having been laidoff last month things are tight.

Also looking for CHEAP double ended metal halide bulbs. 150 W & 250 W 14-20k.

New or used....not picky at this point. Just need cheap.

If someone has something I could use please let me know. Thanks.

dang it may be a total loss if it was plugged in and went swimming, but you can drop it off here anytime or ship it to me and I'll be glad to have a look inside.

Re: 150-200 W Evolution LED / halide bulbs

I have been able to repair/modify the LED light and it is now working.

Still looking for the metal halide bulbs. Please let me know if you have some. Thanks.

Thanks again Travis for your generous, unselfish and much appreciated offer on the use of your light.

I have used 250 and 150w phoenix bulbs. They are at least a year old, but you can have them if you want. They still burn and look good.

That would really help me out until I can find employment again. Where are you located? I can give you a few frags of something. What do you keep?

Just saw this. Tapatalk is tumbling up posts again for me. Thanks for the link. Yeah I went to Neptunes to see about getting some new ones and I just can't see or afford $115.00+ for one bulb. Tried looking at other places online...but without a review it's a little worriesome. Thanks.

Re: 150-200 W Evolution LED / halide bulbs

So here is what I ended up doing to repair the light...
View attachment 12297
Rewired power cords to come in from the same side as opposed to opposite ends. Decided the disconnects were not needed and just hard wired it.

Added three switches to give me individual control over what lights are on and the intensity of the blues.
I can adjust to the following...
50w whites with or without blues.

50w, 100w or 150w of blues with or without the whites.

LEDs are not out in the lower corner, just strange effect from camera angle.
Fans operate anytime any of the blues are powered.
