Can anyone build the shell of a Tunze Wavebox out of acrylic

before saying i could do it i would want to see one in person. if its just a box based on the measurements with a hole for the pump and a removable top i can do that. where does the water enter the box at?

That's pretty much all it is. Water enters through the top lid

Umm, i might be confused, but the tunze wavebox top sits above the water line. It has a cover with slots to allow or air to move in and out of the box. as the water level in the box raises and lowers. Again, i could be wrong.

If you are wanting to build a wave box. Marty in Colorado springs built them on the outside of his tank and it really does a great job.

Umm, i might be confused, but the tunze wavebox top sits above the water line. It has a cover with slots to allow or air to move in and out of the box. as the water level in the box raises and lowers. Again, i could be wrong.

It depends on the size of the tank, and how much motion/circulation he is looking for. I've seen a Tunze wavebox move things quite well in a 120 before and Marty's tank is a 270. Here is the build link. He might even mention the wave boxes he built into the tank.

Alright just picked up a 6100 & controller with extras for 135 bucks. AWESOME. Still think you can build the acrylic part? If so how much

Really just want to know how they work if I understand that I can build it.

I just need the box built I can fine tune the rest. 5 edges and a lid that fits inside. I was hoping for black acrylic if anyone has some. I just don't have weldon or black acrylic
