Tang - Possible Flukes?

I have a tomoni bristletooth tang that's been in my tank for 5 weeks, 3 weeks quarantine. We saw today that it has white strands coming out of it's gills and has started flashing/scratching. Not breathing rapid, still eating normal. I have not confirmed with RODI water yet if it's gill flukes or not but will once we get a chance to pull it out of the tank.

I was told to dose prazi. Can I dose Prazi in the display tank with other fish/inverts? I have yellow choris wrasse, purple firefish, zoas, montis, and lepto/sympodium.

I'd recommend a freshwater dip and then qt. Do multiple dips. If you have a qt and the patience, go hyposalinity qt. I never messed with copper.

While still recommended to put the fish back in QT but yes you can dose prazi to the main tank, but it will be very hard to know if you have dosed enough because the rocks, filtration and sand will absorb an undetermined amount of it. So knowing that you have the required dose in the tank will be very difficult.

As a general rule of thumb, especially for tangs, I always qt a minimum of 8 weeks. 3 weeks isn't nearly long enough. Tangs, more then just about any other fish, always have a ton of external and internal parasites so I usually would do 4 weeks on copper safe, and 4 weeks of prazi for them. Other fish I treat as needed but tangs will always get a full round of meds before going in DT
