What's new or upcoming in your tank?

Figured we are always adding and planning things for our tanks and why not share what you've done or are in visioning. Why not share the dream or excitement?

I recently added a new sump to my system and I'm pretty happy with it.
Has a lot more room than my old wet/dry converted to sump. Its a simple 3 glass baffle 33 breeder with a bubble tower, room for skimmer, macro section and then bubble trap and return pump.

I'm planning on adding more fish to the big tank - whitetail tang, starry blenny, skunk tilefish pair, maybe a couple more. And I want to turn the nano into a zoa garden if someone really smart on zoas could help me get some awesome ones... Hint hint hint.

125G sump to my 120G SPS tank in my office. Sump is running with a 50G satellite tank, 58G empty tank (not sure what I am going to do with it) and a 24x24x8 frag tank. Maybe in 3-4 more months, I will plumb the dispaly to it after the other tanks are full of coralline and growing SPS like crazy. I am tired my having my reactor, chiller and skimmers in my office with the noise. Sump will have DC Octo 350 and a EuroReef 12-2 for skimmers. I have a chiller too, but only use it for the dual regulator - it has not been on once since we move to Colorado. I got a new Diablo 10500, but I also have an older BNIB Ampmaster 3000 that I have not decided on which to use yet.

Gonna be ordering a 120(or 144)x36x30 for my basement. Need to find a good glass manufacturer, though. I spoke to Fort Collins glass, but not sure I want to assemble this heavy of a tank by myself. Current 240 basement tank as a sump.

I might put another 250W HQI over my current basement tank... dunno yet.

Any one else done anything or got anything new to their tank lately? Or how about any big up coming plans for the tank?

Anyone got any new DIY things they want to share?

New Halide Pendants. Lazy about mounting them lol.

I am tweaking my sump and deciding what to do with all of the rock... DT? SUMP? BOTH?

I'm dreaming up a Nano for my place. My reef is at work but I'm thinking about putting a nano in my condo. I haven't had a tank at home for a long time because I moved a lot for my past career.

I set up my 125 but really need to update my lights. One of my blue drivers went out on a chinese set just yesterday lol and the blues on another lamp went out last month so its blah to look at... I will be able to afford new lights in mid January and have been looking at everything out there trying to figure things out. I was leaning toward hydras but apparently they have a small coverage range compared to sols and not upgradable... so the search continues

I got nothing big but researched making myself a little pod farm under my 120. Maybe a ten gallon with some corrugated plastic sheets cut small and some phyto for food. Also in the planning stages for a sump for my 30 cube but finding something cheap and ugly in the right dimensions for the stand but enough room for growing chaeto has been a pain. My old 30 cube had one and the pod population was awesome. We've all said it at one time or another but i never should have sold that tank. Booooo:Cry:

I dig that sump design.

Going old school with Super Actinic VHOs and 10K halides for 2014. I will probably vacuum 25% of my sand next year.
Why 10K? Don't you typically run 14k Phoenixes? I switched from 10k to Phoenixes and I love em.

I do love them. I will keep them on my mixed tank and the other ones. I really want the super awesome pop and look of the VHOs and I fear that the tank will be too blue for me with the 14Ks. 10k and VHO Super Actinic is the bee's knees of reef lighting if you don't mind the wattage of the VHOs. Also, I will have the Phoenix bulbs around in case I want to switch back.
