So rather than get out completely, I decided to downsize (thanks to tango). Everything is still in really early stages, so I will post up more pics as I build more. Below is the plan for the tank.
Equipment
- 29g biocube with "in tank" refugium and media baskets
- retrofit hood with ONYX LED instead of PC lights and supplement cooling with 120mm PC fans.
- Apex light with one EB8
- VDM for dimming channels
- UPS ...that is intentionally bold
- (2) WP25s with torx harness
Livestock (right away)
- Aragonite sand
- my coolest fiji rocks from the big tank
- Huge frogspawn
- Gold torch
- Yellow scroll
- quad color hammer
- Rastas
- Tubbs blue
- God of war
- purple/green Duncan
- fire and ice
- yellow pinwheels
- and other sps I can salvage
Livestock (planned)
- Onyx clown pair
- yasha goby / tiger pistol pair
- McCoskers flasher wrasse
- Bangai cardinal pair
- Mandarin goby (if I can get pods booming or start a farm. I am aware this is difficult in a 30)
- Melanarus wrasse (possibly if mandarin is no go. Kinda iffy in a 30g)
- millepora, echtinata, and Acropora up top
- euphyllia in mid levels
- duncans, favia, and zoas in sand bed and low rocks.
