Livestock suited for Sump?

#1
I've seen a few people asking what they can put in their sump's but when I made my sump, I designed it to have a refuge area. Currently has a sand bed, live rock, tons of microorganisms, baby feather dusters sprouting everywhere, chaeto, and some other things. But one of the less desirable things in my sump because it's such a low flow area, is the algae and detrius settle. Whatever goes down there obviously won't be for display purposes but I'd like to keep the sump healthy looking. Any ideas?

I have a power head on the way from amazon already. But from what I know about having a refuge is that you want the water passing through your chaeto to be sloooooow moving. Been in this hobby for a few years but I'm still relatively new to this so I wanted to make sure that my next moves in regards to my sump are the correct ones for what I want for my tank. Compared to the 180g display, the sump is rather small, being 40g. And the refuge area is probably 25g of it. So I'm trying to make the very most of the area. There's a ton of pupa slugs breeding naturally down there and have started catching up on the algae. But won't brittle stars devour the copepods and amphipods swarming down there?
