IME peppermints tend to hide, and don't really come out of hiding while the fish are most active. Need to look for them in the evening or after lights out

Filefish have always been pretty good for me. I have one now and he does a great job of keeping the pest under control. They do have a tendency to nip at fleshy corals a bit once they run out of aptasia to eat but they don't ever seem to really harm the corals much, just kind of annoy them a bit.

Ya, that looks like dinos to me too. There are a lot of different kind of dinos and they can be hard to ID which type you have, but figuring out what type they are and what is fueling them can be the key to fighting them. Some are fueled by silicates, some thrice in low nutrients, others feed...
