How to get rid of this?

I was hoping someone knew of a tool that could remove this algae buildup? I thought of using one of those scrapers that you attach to a mag-float, but before I buy one I wanted to see if anyone had one and how well does it work. My tank is built into the wall and it's next to impossible to get all the way down there with a plastic card. Please help

Pull the sand back, and use an old credit card. I use a Dobie pad for my tanks with rounded corners...

yes the originals are 0 chemicals added, they're almost like very fine sand paper. I've read that they will buff out light scratches over time as well but I haven't used it long enough to claim that myself, just used it to clean the tank when I bought it so far so good though

I just started using the Mr. Clean pads a few months ago. I slice a thin layer off of one and zip tie it to my mag float. It works great.

Ya I use the mr.clean pads too. They work great on film algae but for the stuff that is tougher to get off I still use a metal scrapper. The scrapper I have has a long extendable handle on it for getting to the hard to reach places.

Metal scrapers will not work it's acrylic. The cleaning pads attached to the mag-float sounds interesting, but I still want to know it if anyone ever used the scraper that is attached to the mag-float.

I say give it a shot. Just be cautious working in the sand that you don't get sand grains between the magnet and the acrylic and you could have yourself a nifty new tool

If the mr clean pad doesnt work, the multipurpose cleaning tools like the one they sell at elite reef and aquamart have a plastic blade attachment. You could try that.

Have one of those, just can't a good angle to scrape it off.
