As an add on to Freddie40’s post I was curious about peoples recent experiences and recommendations for saltwater shops in Colorado Springs.

I had some time to kill in the Springs yesterday, and made a quick stop in 2 stores.

1) Plant and Polyp Aquariums
This store has a lot of freshwater plants.
For Saltwater they had Two 80 gallon aquariums with marine fish, and a few cube tanks with snails, crabs etc.
So, not a big selection of marine fish, no coral. The store was super clean and employees were helpful.

2) Reefkoi corals
This store is only saltwater, they have have a lot of coral (mostly frags), not many fish. They also have tons of frozen food and misc aquarium supplies/parts.
I found their tanks clean and well maintained. Employees were helpful.
FYI-if you are looking for a true Hawaiian yellow tang they have a beautiful trade in. Unfortunately $300.

I would love to know of any other Colorado Spring stores worth checking out.

Didn't there used to be a store down there called Neptune's Relm?
Seems like I remember that store as the only real saltwater store in the area.

Yeah that was a cool shop in 'Old Colorado City', but it closed many years ago
Same with 'Mr Aqua' - it was a converted oil-change building on Fillmore that was setup really cool.
