I hope this is in the right place, if not feel free to move it! Some of you know me, some of you do not. I'm Brie, I run the saltwater department at Neptune's Tropical Fish in Highlands Ranch.
There have now been multiple break ins in multiple stores in the Denver area. Today, I walked into Neptune's to find glass all over the front of the store, water on the floor and nets precariously perched on top of open fish tanks...and then I realized how many animals were missing. At first, thieves were stealing mostly equipment which is a significant loss but now they've moved on to livestock. We need your help to catch the culprits before any more damage is done. At this point, I'm not as worried about the money that we've lost. What bothers me is the animals I've spent my days caring for that are now missing. I know that Sharon (owner of Neptune's), my coworkers, and those affected at other stores will appreciate any information. I'm going to post a list of livestock to be on the lookout for, this isn't everything stolen but some of the more distinctive items. All we ask is that if you see anything suspicious you contact somone, whether it's the police or one of the managers at Neptune's.
For starters, this is what I walked into today:
It would appear that the thieves tried to block the cold breeze from the fish they didn't steal with our towels.
Livestock to watch for:
Bleeding Apple Scoly
Warpaint Scoly
Ultra Blue Chalice (4 inches)
"v-shaped" Red and White Coco Worm
Neon Orange Yuma Ricordea Mushroom Rock
Metallic Green Torch Coral
Red and Green Favia Rock (6 inches)
Platinum Percula Clownfish
Exquisite Wrasse
Baby Blue Female Bellus Angelfish
Blue Face Angelfish (5 inches with a scuff on his left side)
Marine Betta (3 inches)
Thank you!
