I received an email from planet zoa earlier today. Going to give it a try on my almost dead polyps I received from Mr. Coral. We'll see how it goes.

I have done this with zoos, gsp and many others, I also do this with all new corals when adding them to my tank for a short amount of time.

High flow (blast them) until they start to open then move to medium flow= great results. as for new additions to the tank I always put them in a high flow area for the first hour just to blow anything off that might cause them harm= never lost anything due to new tank shock.

Like the original article states put the coral 12"away from the powerhead not 1".

Ahh ok. Is there a suggested flow rate?

Not sure I just always put mine in the fastest flow area in my tank.

45 minutes to an hour depending on the coral, or if its having issues opening I put it there until it opens.
