Yeah, one thing I'm worried about is the maple syrup for bottling carrying some sort of bacteria with it.

You can boil it first. Or use brown sugar and boil it.

I was planning on doing that with a bit of water, just to make it easier to mix in. But I've got a few weeks before that.
