Chromis Gone Wild! ...or bubble tip dinner?

I've noticed this behavior quite a bit lately, but last night was the first time, on video, I caught my chromis losing their collective minds. I don't think they'll get away with this once my 1 inch maroons grow out. Anyone else have chromis that cross-dress as clowns? This is a 12-16 inch GBTA when fully extended and this was sort of during my dawn/dusk period.

Hopefully you can click the image below to run this. About 11-12 seconds in the vid is when the head chromis gets pretty brave.

Also, if you hear any panting and snuffling in the background, it's my dog being a moron which always happens when I am recording, lol:

brave little chromis. Maybe he's catching a buzz on Nem stings... :fish:

lol, maybe. Sometimes he sinks so deep you can't see him at all, and I worry this will be like some new nursery rhyme "3 little chromis jumping in the nem". I used to see chromis in my LFS and think they were about as interesting as goldfish, but come to find out, they have a ton of personality, and their little mating dances are so cute.

Clowns are damselfish. So are chromis. There are pictures all over the web with damels inside of BTAs. It is pretty common, especially with striped or domino.

I guess i never knew the were relations. They wouldn't try to kick out the maroons if they outgrew them in size would they? That would suck. 5 dollar fish vs. my maroons lol.

Thanks! Odd how these fish i previously had assumed were boring turn out to be some of the most entertaining.
