just an alae bloom from excess nutrients, you need to deal with the bio-load better, ie; more effective skimming, water changes, or nutrient consumption.

How old are your bulbs, how many fish do you have and how old is your tank?

bulbs are used i think 6months....i have only tested nitrates its a 10ppm. tank has been set up over a year but has moved 3 times..with no cycle after moves. i have 8 fishies....lol but in my defense they are all small......here are some pictures of when i got home. oh lights are on about 10hours with 1 hour being just actnic...

Your nitrates should drop as the algae grows, it's consuming the excess nutrients. The algae is the reason why your no3 is only at 10ppm, without it your reading would be much higher. What you need to to do is figure out the source of the problem. Did a fish go missing? Overfed? Something die?

they are aqua meidic x2 aqua medic 250w and one 54w actnic aqua medic t5 the other is burnt out...(i bought a new bulb but i accidently got a 24w 48in bulb) almost forgot no one is missing i feed preety lightly. i think the combination of moving and not keeping the fug and also adding more fish and coral with out giving the bio filter time to catch up....
