Hermits eating torch

Anyone seen this before? My halloween & scarlet hermits decided to snack on my torch. Other corals are fine but I guess they like the taste of the torch. Sad to see that torch get munched on. It was beautiful: purple with green tips. View attachment 7196

Very likely they are just taking out the algae in/around the torch. I though my emeralds were munching on an SPS then an Acan in my tank, but turns out no issues...just looked like it for sure!

yea, most likely the coral was already compromised and the crab is just eating the dead/dying tissue or there is some algae in there that it wants.
