IntelliSun LED reef lights, I think I found them for sale in the US.

I was at The Fish Crew in Ft Collins and I was checking out some LED lights they have there. I think they're calling them Cerulean? Anyway, I tried to find some info on them online. I found nothing, weird right? So after several hours of searching, finally resorting to searching Google images, I found an identical product called IntelliSun. There are a couple of reviews of them, all good, but nobody sells them here. I believe The Fish Crew is selling them under a different name. For the 85w, they're asking $220 for the light plus $100 for the controller. They look good!

If anybody has any additional info, or if I'm wrong, lemme know.

I have no idea if they are any good, or not, but I might suggest that you don't trust a review from a guy whose only 2 post on RC were about these lights. Besides, it is easy for a noob to write a review about how much like a new panel after a few days - it is quite something else for an experienced reefer to recommend a panel after a year or more of use.

The point of this post was to bring attention to the fact the a LFS is selling an LED fixture that not only can you not buy anywhere else in the US, but you can't even buy online. I don't know if they're any good, they look good to my untrained eyes, but I'm a noob myself. The LFS is using them on their display tank, you can see for yourself.

Hello. These lights are available directly from the factory in China for 120 dollars each plus shipping but you have to buy a minimum of ten of them. I need three for my 125 gallon tank, so I would need people to buy the other seven. This is for the 85 watt light, (now advertised by them as 90 watt, but the specs also list one 40watt super power led (daylight) and 20 x 3watt lights, a mix of blue, purple & daylight. I totaled that wattage and come up with 100 watts, which I find strange but I am positive the company is legit, and I understand you have actually seen these lights. You also have to buy controllers, which includes the remote control. One controller can control up to ten units. They package the smallest light in boxes of two, and if you needed a different size I am guessing they would probably be willing to mix and match as long as ten lights are purchased. The reviews mentioned a slight noise from the fan but they now advertise these as silent and tout the fan I believe as an upgraded unit manufactured in Japan. If you are interested in these lights and know anyone else that might be as well please let me know. They have numerous customer service reps online. One girl even called me but her English wasn't the greatest. They are quick to respond. The company is CT Lighting. They are easy to find so you can verify what I am telling you.

He documented his experiences pretty well. Well ultimately it seems like each 85w unit is about equivalent to a 150w halide. The only thing he didn't touch on was stuff like coral growth. Might be worth it, might not. I personally used my DIY full spectrum leds and swapped to 250w halides and I will not go back :)

I will be putting LEDs on the cube as soon as my unit is built. I will post some info. I've never used LED's before, so this will be a new experience for me. If I don't like them I have an extra 250 HQI pendant and balast.
