Hey all!
My current obsession is with shrimp/goby pairs. Getting ready to get a new pair so I thought I would come here fishing for ideas.

I have had, and know I like, the orange spotted shrimp goby and the Randal's pistol shrimp. But I don't know what I don't know....what other kinds are out there?

What kinds to people have now? Has anyone had success integrating mated pairs into a single burrow? With 2 Randal's and two gobies, both mated pairs, that would be like the whole family.
Going to make them a tiny sign with stick figure gobies and shrimps and post it outside their burrow. :)

Anyone had/have a tank with more than one group/burrow in it?

Thanks!
Dave

I've kept a few different pairs and really do love watching them interact. I've found that they do better in smaller tanks or even species only nano tanks.
My favorite is probably the yasha and candy pistol shrimp but I know there are hundreds and probably even thousands of different shrimp/goby combinations found in the oceans. We see a mere fraction of them in the aquarium trade!

I love the red banded pistol shrimp and the orange spotted goby that are in my 125 reef. They are very entertaining how they interact. The goby will defend there 20 different holes the pistol shrimp has dug out to the end. It is amazing to see how long their tunnels are, and they keep a 3 foot section of 125 sand spotless. If you have the space get them. The longer I am in the hobby the more I realize I like the smaller fish much more then the larger fish, do to the fact they have such interesting personalities. If I get a chance I will upload some pictures of them.
