...I hope I am spelling that right...
Hey all...I was hoping someone might tell me about about peristalic pumps used for top off etc...
Forgive my ignorance here...let me make sure I am using the term right: These pumps use a flexible tube and the motion of a little cam to move liquid up the tube in small doses...
Used in many dosing and top off applications...
My question is, will a pump set up in this manner allow a siphon to occur, if the source of RO water or dosing fluids was above the output? Or does the liquid only move through when the pump is active?
The reason I ask is that I am short of space under-cabinet, and wanted to mount the dosing jugs up on the wall a bit...but I am worried they would siphon down...
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Dave
