Seeking thoughts and advice – Setting up Fluval Edge zoa garden

#1
Coming out of lurk mode to ask for some advice on a how-to-do:

About ready to set up daughter’s old 6G to build a long-desired zoa garden. Have some questions about replacing the original halogen bulbs with a replacement LED kit. Seems all the research I’ve been doing on that has me more confused than informed, not sure if 21 LED kit is enough light for them or ?

Also, I think I will stay with the hang on filter and use the media basket, don’t want to mess with a sump under such a small tank and just put a small nano PH in there for flow.

Has anyone got an Edge they’ve made into a garden? Any advice?

How about an ac 30, 50, or 70 fuge? 21 watts or 21 leds? I think the clubs best nano I've seen is Ryans 10g book shelf tank post, solved a bunch of ?s for me. Other than that I'm not familiar with the edges, but a tank is a tank right?

Google Fluval Edge Reef... there are some build threads out there, TONS of ideas for you. We could speak more to the lighting if you told us which specific kit you are looking to use.

Neat looking tank, though I wonder about potential gas exchange and heat issues, with the tight glass top.
