where to buy cut glass or acrylic for sump?

Where would I go to get glass or acrylic for building a sump?

I think Home Depot or Lowes will cut the acrylics if you buy it there.

Sometimes its cheaper to find an old sump and cut it up otherwise lowes or home depot has acrylic and they will cut it for you too.

i think they sell pretty thin stuff i would not trust the acrylic they sell to hold water long

I've had great luck with plasticare in denver for other projects. I know for a fact that they have at least 3/4" thickness and will cut to order. They also offer laser cutting if you need it.

Well, i wasnt going to build the tank, i just wanted to find stuff for baffles so i dont think that the thickness matters, but i might be wrong. Please advise?

the acrylic from homedepot bowed pretty bad in my old 10gal sump

Home depot sells diffrent size acrylic, Tyson you probably bought thinner acrylic they do have thicker stuff there that will work great.

hhmmm or longmont HD sucks! nothing but problems from them..... only good thing was i was going to get some wood cut and the guy using the saw was braging to his buddy about how funny he felt after taking some percosets. Not 10sec later guy falls in to the wood missing the saw above him by inches, i could not help but laugh

Lowes or HD, you can use the thin stuff with no issues. Just don't have stuff fall on it.

I had issues with that thin stuff bowing as well unless i doubled it up.
