If I get one will he eat my scrimps?? I have a fire shrimp and a couple peppermints and really don't want to see them get eaten. I want one in the tank though to eat flatworms and other pests if I ever get them. I won't do another 6 line
+1 ...if you are talking about a yellow coris...then technically they are Halichoeres genus and are probably going to be a bit more invert safe. At least that's what I was told when I was shopping around for one.
The one I picked up was a juvenile, but hasn't paid any attention to my shrimps...he's actually lets the cleaner shrimp climb on him and clean him off. On a somewhat unrelated note, my longfin fairy wrasse (also supposed to be invert safe) went back to the store after making short work of my peppermint shrimp.
Ultimately it depends on the individual fish, but true Coris genus wrasses will probably not get along well with your shrimp, from what I've been reading.
