DiY stand to support 100 gallon and installing overflows

So I've been selling off my corals to clear out stuff so I don't have to transfer as much to my new tank. One direction I really want to go is a 125 but I don't think my wife will not let me get my dream 72" long tank in our tiny townhouse, so I have a good lead on a 100 gallon 60" long acrylic tank.

But still trying to psych myself up and need my fellow reefers support. My biggest concern is I have to make a wife approval stand would this be easy to support the 1000lb tank I'm about to put on it or shouldi shy away from making my own? Or do you guys know a good place to buy a nice cheaper side stand? Also I'm going to need to put in overflows and don't want hob just need advice here also?

I've made a few stands. Building it to support a 100 gallon would not be difficult. This is one I made for my frag tank. Let me know if you'd like help.

As far as overflows go have Dave, the old owner of aquamart, do it for you. His custom work is awesome. I have his card around here somewhere

Yeah Robert that is very nice stand in deed. I have a few friends that like wood working it's just that were all so busy with work it's hard to coordinate a time.

But my initial plan was to use 4x4's for the legs and then 4 more 4x4's in the center every 15.25 inches. Use 2x4's for the bottom support to be covered by ply wood, then the top frame that will be covered with a granite slab will be 2x6's. But I've been told over and over again I'm over thinking this too much? Since it's a 60"x18" long tank I'm just worried about weight distribution and with added granite.

Way over built in my opinion. I used 4x4s and 2x6s on my 300. 2x4s are more than enough for a 100 gallon tank

Using 4x4 on your stand you lose to much space in the bottom for sump space.

+1 2x4s will be plenty of support. My frag tank is 24x24x6 and I used 1x1s for the frame. Once I put the veneer and trim on it, it was solid as a rock. I would even feel comfortable putting a 60cube on it.
