Hmmm the only thing I don't like about it is it takes batteries, otherwise cool!

Floats are pretty reliable on RO with no salt and calcium to bind them up. If you are in a basement, then drag your reservoir over next to the floor drain. If not, then put it on one of those washing machine tray thingies that catch the water.

That would be too smart, I prefer to drop 5-10 gallons of water on my floor before I wake up in the morning and realize what I've done. That 15 seconds of panic as I run downstairs is priceless :)

I would do this all the time, but my setup is in the bathroom and I fill in the tub.

+1. I have mine in the basement shower. The waste goes down the drain, and the collection can is in the shower pan just in case the float were to fail.

I used to flood my basement all the time. Then I tried setting a timer. Of course I wouldn't be home when the timer dinged. I upgraded to a new RO with auto shutoff and a float. Now I just dump buckets of water filling up the kalk drip bucket

I hate that feeling, "OH FUDGE" and rush upstairs to say. PHEW not this time you damn sink. Hahahahaha
