I got my 75g display tank from a guy in fort collins and when I saw it it had "foggy film" on the glass. When you just put water on it it shows clear but now that it is full and going the you cant see but 2in through it. Have you heard of it or is it something that I can just scrape off? Or will that screw up my water and kill everything?

+1, clean it with vinegar. The film that your seeing is likely a hard water film left after the tank was emptied. You should however always clean any equipment or tanks you buy used with vinegar anyways, so kill 2 birds with one stone.

In that case your going to have to get stainless steel razor baldes and scrape the inside of the glass off, only issue with that is not knowing exactly what is on the glass, you may not want to release it into the water as it may be harmful, expecially if it is hard water deposits from a freshwater tank, you could release all kinds of nasty crap into your water.

Yup, razor blades would seem to be your best option. It might not be easy though.

Your other option would be to put the fish in a holding bucket, while you would on the tank.

Mr. Clean magic erasers might work, just don't get the kitchen and bath ones, or with any special additives.
