Hello all,

As you might know I am looking into getting a 8ft tank. I would prefer glass but I am entertaining the idea of acrylic. The only place I can really find online that sells 8ft glass tanks is glasscages.com. I know some of you have experience with their aquariums. What is your experience with them? How long have you had the tank? Quality? Issues?

I have read a lot of bad stuff about them online but would like to get your experience.

If your super picky I would say no, but if you want to save a buck and have a good aquarium then yes

I know a few guy that have a glasscages tank including myself and the seams are not perfect but it has been a reliable tank for sure

I had a tank made by them it was just ok in build quality. Prices are good though. I'd check out miracles in glass. Best bang for buck and still very high quality IMO. Miracles turned my tank around in 6 weeks.

ADHI told me they dont do glass. Perhaps this has changed if so I would def check into that.

Also a 6 week turn around is going to be pretty syandard on a custome glass tank and in some cases the best you are going to get In my experience. Glass cages can proabbaly do it in 4-5 weeks but it also shows. Again just my oppinion. Glasscages builds qaulity products and I have never heard of anyone having issues. They are just sloppy IMO.
