This will be a really cool tank. Following along for sure! What's you plan for keeping pod populations stable? Separate culture system?

Can't wait to see it. Just curious, how do you plan on keeping the livestock from getting sucked up in the overflow?

I will be doing remote 5g buckets of chaeto/ulva for pod food. as well as dosing nutrients for the macro algaes.

Here is the newly formulated fertilizer for marine planted tanks: http://florida-aqua-farms.com/shop/plant-fuel-and-plant-fuel-too/

But ideally I am going to be working to get all inhabitants on frozen.

The turnover rate on the tank is not much, maybe 400 gph. so it should not be hard for them to stay away. It is a glass-holes 700 gph overflow on the tank so it has a cover and what not.

You could hold up Long's Peak with that stand.

Yah seriously :p We were making the joke when I was picking up the tank that the stand could have fallen off my car's roof rack and gotten hit by 3 semis and would have been fine.

Also currently working on getting access to a 3d printer to print some floating Seahorse feeding troughs with hitching posts.

how are you planning to keep a suply of baby brine to the dwarfs?

I don't intend on using baby brine as it is not very nutritious. I will be culturing amphipods on the side till I can get all of the fish to eat frozen.

are they free swimming pods?
from what I have seen dwarfs have no interest in pods unless they swim in the water infront of them , they wont even be bothered to lean over and eat pods off of the glass next to them

I would skip the dwarf and get the a few of the many that will eat frozen mysis. Some dwarfs just never will.

I might just go that route. A buddy in Hawaii is raising some very nice purplish maroon rendi's and I might have him ship me some.
