Seth's 104g Rimless cube

So I picked up this tank here on the forums and thought it would make a perfect planted reef.

Equipment:
36" x 37" x 18" rimless tank with overbuilt metal stand
400w halide
rio 3100+ return pump
Bubble Magus Nac 6 Skimmer
40g breeder sump
2x wp-25
Apex full unit

Going for about 50lbs of rock in the main tank and another 100 lbs in the sump.

4 inch sand bed with Fiji Mud mixed in it for the main substrate.

I will be doing remote 5g buckets of chaeto/ulva for pod food. as well as dosing nutrients for the macro algaes.

But ideally I am going to be working to get all inhabitants on frozen.

The turnover rate on the tank is not much, maybe 400 gph. so it should not be hard for them to stay away. It is a glass-holes 700 gph overflow on the tank so it has a cover and what not.

I need to get a 12k ballpark bulb for the 400w halide. The 20k radiums are a ton more blue than needed.

Yah seriously We were making the joke when I was picking up the tank that the stand could have fallen off my car's roof rack and gotten hit by 3 semis and would have been fine.

I don't intend on using baby brine as it is not very nutritious. I will be culturing amphipods on the side till I can get all of the fish to eat frozen.

are they free swimming pods?
from what I have seen dwarfs have no interest in pods unless they swim in the water infront of them , they wont even be bothered to lean over and eat pods off of the glass next to them

I would skip the dwarf and get the a few of the many that will eat frozen mysis. Some dwarfs just never will.

Oh man I wondered who ended up with this tank!!!!! I'm def jealous as it has a killer foot print and tank height IMO. This is going to be a super awesome tank and I cant wait to see this thing rocking!

I might just go that route. A buddy in Hawaii is raising some very nice purplish maroon rendi's and I might have him ship me some.
