I replaced my sedra 5000 pump that was running my asm g3 skimmer about two weeks. All I really wanted was to quiet the tank down a bit and go from the 50 watt sedra to an 11 watt pump. I thought this would help with my power bill (been upgrading a lot of stuff for this reason).
The tunze is very quiet! I can not hear it unless I open the cabinet, notably quieter than the sedra.
The bubble production! fills the entire skimmer with bubbles, the sedra was good but not this good.
Skimate! Darker, make you almost vomit stank, and twice as much of it.
This turned a good (underrated IMO) skimmer into a very good skimmer! Way more than I hoped for. If you are thinking of upgrading tour skimmer you may want to just look into upgrading the pump to a tunze!
