WTT/WTB 250W Metal Halide ballast

Looking for a 250W MH ballast for an HQI bulb. Please let me know what you have and want for it. Thanks.

Mike are ballasts specific to the type of mH bulb? If not I believe I have a 250w mH icecap ballast for you. Have to search the grave yard tomorrow. Text to remind me

As long as the bulb matches 250w magnetic or electronic. Magnetic is less power efficient and is old news. Electronic will save more electricity and is newer.

I wasn't sure if there was a difference myself. I think some bulbs are pulse start and some rapid start...or something like that so I thought I would mention bulb type just in case.

That would be awesome Chad, I think the ballast on the GF tank went out. Her 250W looks like it's a blue 100w right now... and bulb is fairly new and works fine in my fixture.

That is correct. Some bulbs are pulse and some are probe. Electronic ballasts should fire both and are more energy efficient. Magnetic ballast will give you problems with an HQI because of the way it overdrives the bulb

Ive got a 250watt electronic ballast if you need it Mike. Id let it go cash or trade, and cheap since you met me the other day with the sailfin, which by the way is doing great. We coud meet at the same spot. the sailfin loves the frozen blend I feed and Ive added a bit more garlic to it to help her HLLD. Her and my yellow tang are best friends, which ****ed the Lt. tang off, but hes always been a loaner. Let me know about the ballast.
