Selling a 75 gallon All Glass Aquarium Reef Ready tank with Megaflow overflow. Completely cleaned, resealed and ready to go. The guy I bought it from cut to slots out at the top of the overflow so I had fort collins plastic cut a piece of black acrylic and siliconed it in place and is just like factory again and drains water great. Also have Aquaticlife 48" T5 HO 4 bulb light with blue lunar LED's. Works great, the fans bearings are a tad worn, are noisy til they warm up and its virtually silent. I had the lights cycling and circulated water through the tank for a while, and it was more quiet than my 40gal Freshwater tank. The tank holds water no problem, and the lights still work great. Id like to get $135obo for the tank, and $135obo for the light. Will sell both together for $235. I plan on keeping the stand and using it for my freshwater tank. But if you really really want it with this tank, I will sell it for an additional $125. Like I said, I would like to use it for my fresh water tank but will sell it. I just want enough to buy the supplies to build another stand for my freshwater. And it's around 125-150 for it all. Let me know if you have any questions. PM me for anything else. I know seller feed back doesn't go here but BRizzle sold me this and I just wanted to say what a stand up guy he is. He cut me a great deal on cash and a trade and he threw in a 29 sump that is already divided up and ready to use. I know this was a big loss to him having to sell this tank but he can rest assured I will really enjoy it in my home. I would give a positive review to anyone who is thinking of doing business with him.

Im gonna miss that 75, I put some good work into it with resealing it and building the stand and sump. Just happy that it went to someone that i can count on to take good care of it. sorry to hear on the reef octopus, their excellent skimmers. thats my plan on the skimmer brand when i do my 120 later this year as long as financials work out. Check out Saltysupply.com. they carry almost all Reef octopus skimmer models and they are pretty good prices for being new. The super models come with the bubble blaster pump and it has a 3 year warranty on it. I mean you can find great deals on good used equipment, but sometimes certain equipment is good to just go new with when is just a guess how long equipment will last when its used. especially if things have rubber seals on them so water cant short them out. If something has been out of water too long the seals will dry out and crack. I had a heater that did that to me on my freshwater tank. It kept tripping the breaker everytime it turned on so i just went and got a new heater and the problem was solved. And the other issue with certain used equipment is if you can even get parts for em anymore. Theres so many discontinued products you may not even be able to get parts for it. I went with the Aquaticlife light for that 75 not only for the built in timer and controller(even thats a huge plus on t5 fixtures) but also cause you can get replacement parts straight off of Aquaticlife's website for any part you need on it. And im sure you noticed the noise in the fans on the light fixture like i mentioned, the company has replacement direct fits for $10 bucks each. And the tank mount legs that are on it I got for 7.95 from PetSolutions.com. The best thing you can do for any reef setup is to build everything around your equipment. The better your equipment and the easier you can maintain your equipment for reasonable prices means a more longterm success and appreciation, especially when your not having to dump out tons of money because something only had a 1 year warranty and it bombs out right after that one year comes around. And like i said when i brought the tank by, I had the time to research everything, and no money to just do a tank build. And to be honest, im really glad i didnt have the money, or else i wouldnt of had a successful system with how many different brands claim what they can do. researching Julian Sprungs research helped me to understand everything way better and the true necessities for a successful and enjoyable hobby. If you can, Try and buy that book i was telling you about. It doesnt go over different brands or anything like that. It explains the science of how everything works and what you need to expect out of equipment and how its keeping your tank clean and alive. haha yea i know what you mean about future upgrades. I plan to start that 120 RR off with the Aquaticlife T5 H.O. 6 bulb fixture and then eventually upgrade to the vertex LED when i know the tank is well established and ready for rare, and more light demanding SPS corals. But spending $600 on lights feels better than spend $2,500+ on lights before I know the tank is well established and ready.
no it will be fine, I was gonna do the same just didnt buy them yet. It can be a good thing when you have furry friends in the house. helps keep hair out, i can also help put back some evaporated water back in the tank with all the condensation it gets, it just drips right off. It may have a slight effect on the water temperature, but shouldnt be much since your using t5's and not Metal Halide's. just dont use the plastic pieces on the back to cover all of it. that opening will still allow a good gas exhange since nitrates somewhat get released as nitrogen gas. and since that opening is right above the overflow it will do just fine since thats where most of your gas exchange happens. and with the loc-line on the returns, dont have them too far under the water. have them just high enough to make a small wave effect on the surface of the water without putting any bubbles in the tank. This will help increase the actually surface area of your tank and helps oxygenate the water as well as more gas exchange.
the one thing i will definitely advise you on since i did build the stand with a semi closed back is to either retro fit in a computer fan or just a small AC powered fan in one of the openings inside that stand so you have good circulation in there as there will be a heat/humidity build up inside the stand. And when you put one in, have it push the air out of the stand rather than pulling the air in. I was planning on going all out and building a custom air filter system out of acrylic with actual filter screens and such. its not something you have to do. Im just a huge junky on building custom stuff

Acrylic is real easy to work with once you get the hang of it and it is very versatile with how you can manipulate its shape. You can heat your oven to 200-220 degrees and it gets the acrylic warm enough to start forming it with curves and such. I actually learned how you can make a replacement overflow just like the ones that are built out of acrylic.
