Because I can't have just one nano tank in my room, I had to have another. When I had my 29 gallon up for trade I received a 9 gallon nano wave as trade, which I thought was fair, it was exactly what I was looking for. I set it up, let it run and ordered my knock off Chinese LEDs and waited... And waited... And waited. After about a month I finally got them, and set them up. I thought they were great and I told myself that I would let this tank cycle and I would actually keep it for more than a few months... I had build a little PVC rack to hang these bulbs and was all set with rock and the cycle was nearing it's end

But then I decided that I miss having a glass box(who knows why) and I went out tonight and bought a bare 10 gallon to love everything too. So much for keeping the nano wave for a long time and into college, hopefully the 10 gallon sticks through. I had bought two more bulbs and hung them for a total of 27w of blinding led power! I am just planning on softies in this tank with some chromis or damsels, we'll see. Here is how it looks after 3 hours of running

The big 'ole power sweep is getting replaced with a koralia, on it's way now. But this is what I am liking so far.

Yeah I'm trying to stay with faster moving darting fish, and keep the clowns in my 20, but so far I like the look. The open space on the sides helps open up the tank and make it seem bigger than it is

Not much change besides the fact that the mushrooms are getting huge, damsel is still the only occupant with two hermits for now. Ordering more CUC for both tanks tomorrow. I bought a koralia 240 and got that going, and it looks like I may have avoided a mini cycle again even though I added more sand. Here is how the tank sits and I think I am going to keep the scape like this. Keeps the tank feeling pretty open

Looks good man. You should try to get the heater out of there though. Put it in the hob filter or something.

According to my watch, the time is now.

I, for one, am glad that you decided that you would rather have a glass box! We just got the wave cleaned up, upgraded the pump to a maxijet 900, and pulled out the LEDs that Mike had sitting around waiting to become an aquarium lighting system. :whoo:

Update on the tank, the damsel is doing well, I had also put a clown in this tank in hopes that the damsel wouldn't attack him, and what do you know, sometimes I catch them swimming together! I also added a cuc and I am starting to get coraline, I think these Chinese 9w LEDs are doing some good! Also the mushrooms are growing like a weed, I am thinking about doing a softie only tank, may look pretty cool when full of mushrooms.

Also converting my AC50 into a fuge, just ordered my light a few days ago, should be here on Wednesday, fingers crossed!

Also still need to put that heater in the AC, just waiting until I convert it to a fuge to do it...
