purple, yellow, kole, mimic, powder blue, lavendar, scopus. They all get along in the 280, maybe a little tale whipping here and there but plenty of room to be happy and swim. I agree it's a test. Hope it works out. I am still gonna add 5 more tangs as the tank still looks empty.

I don't want to be Debbie Downer, but I think you will have a chore enough keeping the achilles alive that added stress of another tang is not wise. That is, if you add them together (wisest for aggression issues, but not, IMO, for general health in this case). If you are set on an achilles--a beautiful fish I may attempt some day--then I would focus on him first and get him housed and happy for a year or so, then add another tang. The chevron should be benign enough aggression wise to be added later. But the achilles will own the tank, likely.

If you go this route i would suggest adding multiple fish at the same time to disperse the aggression of the Achilles to multiple targets.

I would think that you'd be fine because they are different genus tangs with different body shapes. I would either add them together, or add the chevron first because he is much less likely to be aggressive. The achilles should be the last fish added to the tank. At least that's what I've read in researching those particular fish.
