Is there anything i can dip a birdsnest in to kill hair algea. The birdsnest is pretty tightly intertwined at its base and there is hair algea growing down there but i can get in there to pull it out. Im afraid if i let it go itll over take the colony. Even stranger thing is this is the onkt place in the tank where the algea is growing?????? Any ideas? Suggestions?

Prolly gonna have to frag it off the base and just throw the base out... You can try dipping in coral rx, but in my experience it doesn't do much to hair algae...

What about using a Q-tip and hydrogen peroxide? I'm not sure how the sps will handle the hydrogen peroxide but it seems to work well at killing algae.

Turkey baster works for preventing and may help. Baste every day or even twice.
