Looking for Dry Rock donate or purchase

Good morning all. Hope everyone's furnace is working :untroubled: this morning. I am looking for some rock to stock a 180 gallon and sump. If you have some laying around that you dont need let me know. I will be at the meeting today. I was thinking of doing a donation to Dons family based on the amount of pounds that I can get today. I am not sure what the going rate is for dry rock and I am definitely not made of money but I thought this might be a unique idea. I am looking for dry rock right now since im still in the build stage. Let me know what you think or if you have some rock you can bring. If you dont want to donate I can also purchase for the same price. Also if there is others looking for rock let me know if you want to do this with me? I noticed that there was some others looking for rock too.

So if I understand correctly people will donate rock for you to use in your tank and you will take the money you would have otherwise spent on the rock and give it to Don's family?

Yes. I remember a few people asking and looking for rock and I thought this might be a good way to keep donating. I didn't want to order rock online. So I came up with this idea

Plus not everyone has that much rock just sitting in the basement. So if I get a collection from a bunch of people I thought it would be easier and those who want or need rock can get on this to. Just an idea. I just hope it doesn't get perceived badly. No reason not to stop with the donations to Dons family.

Does not look bad at all just wanted to make sure I understood. I think it's a nice idea. I'll donate a few nice pieces of dry Marco. Not sure if I can make the meet yet or not.

Alright. I will keep a tally of who wants to put some in and i can work out the logistics of picking up the rock. If people from north want to donate and some one drives to Denver I can meet them. How many pounds do you have guestimated

I just stocked my tank and I have a few pieces left over. You can take them for sure. I will not be attending the meeting but I can arrange to have the rock available for pick up or meet you.
