I am moving to Denver in about a month and am moving my prized possessions from my 210g to a 90g to make the move more manageable. My 210 has a lot of stuff going on (chiller, fans, pumps galore), I'd like to make the 90 more simplistic both inside and out.
The tank is a standard 90g reef ready AGA, on a tall black stand with a 40g three chamber sump underneath. All courtesy of Hoosierdady, thanks to him for the great deal.
Lights
ATI 6x54w sunpower
Skimmer
SRO XP 2000 internal
Return Pump
Mag 7
Flow
2x Tunze 6105
After getting the tank, I first spray painted the back of the tank as well as the rods I used to hold up the light fixture. I also repainted the stand all black.
I then built the tops to the tank out of black window frame and 1/4" mesh.
Pic of the sump after water test
Skimmer stand had to be built to raise it up to more of an ideal height
I built a filter sock holder out of a plastic clamp, some nylon screws and zip ties.
I plan on using the mesh type sock so hopefully it will be easier to clean
The sump is really large and I had to redo the center brace on the stand to make it fit in with a little bit of wiggle room.
