I need to come up with a plan for my 50 breeder sump. Post up your pictures and let me know how you like them. Maybe we can get pics and reviews of enough that this can be a spot to point others who are looking for sump designs.

Right to left. Fuge with cheato and LR. Middle is drain and skimmer. Than left is foam sponge through bubble trap and than return. Return feeds the fuge as I don't want the fuge to become my landfill. Works great for my 90.
It's a 40 breeder btw.

Wow, I was hoping to get some more pics in this thread. Anyway, here are a couple designs that I really like.

Post 635: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1976233&page=25

This one is the same dimensions as the 50 breeder that I picked up. I really like the part that holds the filter sock. I would obviously not run the bio balls, but could make this design work with what I have.

Khalis sent me this one last night. A very clean under cabinet. I like how he took a small part of his sump and put the ATO in it. Might try and do something like that as well. I also really like the dosing holder that he either made or had made. Very clean way to do it.

I know there are more of you out there with sumps. Just take a few quick pics, post them and give a little discription about what each chamber does. Also, if you could, let us know what you would change if you could do it over again.

40 breeder sump... I wish I could lay claim to the layout, but I bought the setup from the reefer formally known as 120g-reeferman:)
this is where I keep the skimmer and down pipe with a filter sock
and this is where the return pump and bubble trap is

Thanks for the pics guys

Jamie, I've been looking at his site a lot. Had him quote me one, over $600 shipped. Good price for something custom, but to rich for me.

Yea that’s what too much research and over thinking gets you.

Ok so my sump system goes from
My reef display to a 150 gallon refugium it's a 4 chamber which then goes down to my return chamber in the basement which is a 125 gallon acrylic tank then the return pump pumps water to three different tanks
1. A 5 chamber sump housing a swc 250s1a skimmer 7 tlf reactors

2. Frag anemone tank 125 gallon

3 return to the display

My sump is nothing great right now. I'm also deciding what I'm going to do with it. Unfortunately it has to sit off to the side of the tank instead of underneath. There are only hermit crabs living in there right now.

Keep the pics coming guys. I should be able to post mine next week sometime. Hopefully the glass baffles will be ready to pickup this afternoon so Brian can button it up and I can keep moving forward with my build.
