So I have a lot of white crust on my water storage bucket. I read in another thread that it is my calc from th salt leaching out of the water. Should i add the salt a hour or so before the water chance so it wont leach out? Does the temperature change this? I don't want to waste Salinity because it costs a ton.

Dont worry about it, if you really want to keep all the trace calcium rince the bucket with FW and it should slowly disolve.

It's going to happen on pretty much any mixing container with pretty much any kind of salt.

One tip that may help a bit...always add salt to your water rather than water to your salt. The former will result in you bringing your salinity 'up' to the desired level. The latter would result in you bringing your salinity 'down' to the desired level. This scenario would increase the chances of precipitates forming.
