Re: frag tank conversion

Good luck buddy, I had terrible luck with keeping my params stable. I did a 24x24x8 frag tank into a reef tank, although I was blasting it with a 250 radium. Keep the updates coming.

Re: frag tank conversion

Nutrients was the biggest one (all of them), pH, alk, and salinity. It was a sweet tank, but I'd do a large sump if I did it again. I had a 20g tall under there.

I ran a 250 MH, SWC 160, 800gph eheim, about 20lbs of rock total, bb in dt and a few inches (2-3) of sand in the fug. I kept zoas, some sticks, one baby clown, one yasha goby

frag tank conversion

It's true that the smaller the tank the harder it is to keep all params in check, larger tanks are much more stable. Big sumps do help. Still a really cool looking tank, no harder to run than a frag tank. IMO
